Ok
,
let's talk about
finishing
carpentry
.
This stage is sometimes referred to as Second Fix carpentry. It's this stage of carpentry where the majority of finishing work is undertaken. Typically in a construction or renovation project this phase will begin after internal plastering works are complete and will include things like doors, architraves, picture rails, skirting boards, flooring and cornicing etc.
We treat every project individually and pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional finish on all of our work. We will undertake any aspect of finishing carpentry with the care, dedication and skill you'd expect from a firm of people who genuinely care. We specialise in period and heritage buildings and are able to work sympathetically with existing finishes and materials whilst adhering to any planning and heritage specifications achieving a seamless join between old and new when required.
We know that with old buildings it can often be hard to blend in repaired sections or achieve a seamless join with existing elements. We're able to template and mould existing elements to recreate sections and blend in repairs which when complete are invisible.
Here at TG Carpentry we're used to working in a multitude of environments and properties so whether your project is an outbuilding on a country estate, a barn in the heart of your garden, the gable end of your cottage, or inside your property you can be sure we'll always treat your property with the same level of care and respect you would. We'll always leave a site clean and tidy at the end of our working day and will do our best to minimise any disruptions to the surrounding environment.
